ARO FDA-compliant pumps, a part of our Expert Series (EXP) line, are designed to transfer fluid efficiently and safely. Our sanitary diaphragm pumps combine the heavy duty reliability of our EXP pump series with the capacity to handle high volume transfer and fluid dispensing. These innovative features enable you to produce more for your customers.

Our food-grade sanitary pumps typically yield 20 to 30 percent better flow rates than other products on the market today. Because every ounce of fluid is treated gently, the shelf life is often extended and product quality better maintained.

Sanitary manufacturing professionals rely on ARO for our innovative pump technology and high-quality components. Our sanitary positive displacement pumps deliver safety and quality, as well as an industry leading total cost of ownership.

“We had evaluated other diaphragm pumps, but they were inefficient and the air requirements were too high for some breweries. … A gentle canning process extends the shelf life of the canned beer while maintaining flavor quality. That makes my clients happy.”— Justin Brandt, founder of Northwest Canning, Portland, Oregon

ARO Sanitary Pump Features & Applications

All  ARO EXP pumps feature:

  • Patented “Unstallable” unbalanced air valve design, which avoids stalling issues associated with other pumps
  • Exhaust valves that divert cold exhaust air from ice-prone components, which prevents freezing and downtime
  • The ability to pass even large shear-sensitive solids without degradation or heat build-up
  • The ability to run dry, which eliminates the risk of pump damage
  • Gentle pumping action that will not froth or separate fluid, improving end-product quality

ARO FDA compliant pumps are designed and manufactured to meet the highest industry standards and requirements, including: CE, ATEX, 1935/2004/EC and FDA CFR 21.177.

Typical sanitary AODD pump applications include personal care products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage processing. Sanitary pumps may also be used for:

  • Waste water handling
  • Transfer and batching of beverages, sauces, purees or pet food
  • Filter press feed
  • Receiving and unloading of additives, chemicals and ingredients
